Marketing and Media launches new brand website, co-brand logo generator

The Office of Marketing and Media, through its Purdue Marketing unit, has launched a more robust brand website, based on feedback from campus stakeholders. The revised site includes detailed guidelines from visual design to social media for the correct application of Purdue's brand. Consistent use of Purdue's visual and written identity will add value to each academic and administrative unit while reinforcing the overall equity in the Purdue brand, says Mark Craft, assistant vice president for marketing.

The new website also includes the co-brand logo generator. As part of Purdue’s efforts to refine and simplify the logo system, Purdue Marketing has developed an automated online tool that will generate co-branded logos for Purdue’s academic and administrative units. All new materials produced should incorporate the Purdue signature logo or a new, authorized unit co-brand logo. The co-brand logos can be requested through unit designees, which are listed on the new website.

The new brand direction is a result of brand research conducted in 2016 and the clarification last year of brand governance by President Mitch Daniels.
