Feedback sought for data science initiative

Last fall, several forums were held seeking input on strategies for Purdue's new data science initiative being led by the Office of the Provost and the Office of the Executive Vice President for Research and Partnerships. Using input from the forums, a Data Science Working Group of faculty nominated by the colleges generated a report and recommendations.

The Data Science Working Group report, as well as a summary of the discussions at the forums, can be accessed at the links below using career account credentials:

Jay Akridge, provost and executive vice president for academic affairs and diversity, and Suresh Garimella, executive vice president for research and partnerships, invite all faculty and staff to review the report and provide feedback by Jan. 22 via a brief Qualtrics survey.

Akridge and Garimella will hold a follow-up Data Science Forum to report on the findings and outline the next steps on from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Jan. 26 in Stewart Center, Fowler Hall. All interested faculty and staff are invited to attend.
