CIE offering drop-in 'Talk Teaching: Coffee, Cookies and Consultations' on Wednesday

Members of the Purdue instructional community are invited to a drop-in consultation session with the Center for Instructional Excellence on Wednesday (Jan. 10).

Faculty, graduate teaching assistants and staff can stop by Wilmeth Active Learning Center, Room 1087, from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. to talk informally with CIE consultants and other community members about their teaching. Beverages and cookies will be available.

Any questions about teaching at Purdue are welcome, and may include topics specific to the start of the semester, such as:

* How can I get to know my students quickly?

* What should my teaching assistants be doing in the classroom?

* How can I best utilize my classroom space?

* Where can I find help to … ?

Those with questions about teaching who cannot make it to the drop-in session may contact CIE directly at cie@purdue.edu or 765-494-5110, or stop by the center’s offices in WALC, Room 3007.
