Season of Sharing program accepting gifts through Dec. 11

Season of Sharing, an annual program that provides gifts to local children and families served by nonprofits, will last through Dec. 11.

Purdue's Civic Engagement & Leadership Development Office is partnering with the Purdue Student United Way and community organizations to collect gifts for Mental Health America, the YWCA Domestic Violence Shelter and the local Salvation Army.

Gifts collected for YWCA and the Salvation Army will go to children and teens. Gifts collected for MHA will go to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

There are three ways to sign up to provide one or more gifts.

* Visit the Civic Engagement & Leadership Development office in the Krach Leadership Center, Room 336, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Pick up one or more tree ornaments or tags with gift requests and check it out with a staff member.

* Online sign-up: Click here to see a list of gift requests. When you select one or more gifts, click the gift that will be directly connected to the sign-up page. You will receive a confirmation email from the Civic Engagement & Leadership Development Office.

* Call 765-494-1926 to have tags campus mailed to your office. This method is the easiest for departments or offices that would like to participate as a group.

Season of Sharing gifts must be taken unwrapped to Krach Leadership Center, Room 336, by 5 p.m. Dec. 12. Although all gifts must be brought in unwrapped, donations of rolls of wrapping paper are welcome.
