Purdue faculty, staff, retirees and students once again showed deep commitment to the annual Purdue United Way Campaign, raising $781,356 this fall.

On Wednesday (Nov. 15), Purdue volunteers and community UW leaders gathered to celebrate the effort as the campaign ended. The ePledge site will be up until the end of day today (Nov. 20) for those that still wish to pledge.

The campaign total was 99.5 percent of Purdue's $785,000 goal.

Willie Reed, Purdue United Way Campaign chair and dean of the College of Veterinary Medicine; Rhonda Phillips, vice chair and dean of the Honors College; and Megan Dale, director of Purdue United Way, made Purdue's presentation. They thanked Purdue volunteers for their dedication and highlighted special events held on campus to promote awareness and raise funds for the campaign.

"I am grateful to the Purdue community for the generous support of this year’s campaign," Reed said. "Serving as this year campaign has been an honor and privilege. Many thanks to all the volunteers who made the campaign a success."

Though the campaign tally is complete, contributions to the United Way are welcome at any time. Donations may be made by visiting www.purdue.edu/unitedway.
