University policy update

The Executive Policy Review Group took action on the following policies, to be effective today (Sept. 1).

-- Replace the policy on Early Retirement Alternatives (C-32) with a new standard on Retirement Transition Options (S-6). The standard updates and clarifies the retirement options available to faculty and administrative/professional staff.

-- Rescind the policy on Benefits for Part-time Faculty and Administrative/Professional Staff (C-13). The policy was determined to be unnecessary, as the population affected is either afforded or not restricted from benefits in other overarching policies.
