Supervisor Springboard training announces last session for 2017

Employee Training and Development has announced the fall 2017 Supervisor Springboard training opportunities. The fall session is the last offering of the springboard training for 2017.

The primary audience is newly promoted/hired administrative supervisors; however, veteran supervisors also are welcome to attend any or all sessions. The fall session continues to offer courses to support a complete and robust supervisor training and development program; five modules on topics including intercultural awareness, managing relationships with former peers and supervisor roles and responsibilities will be offered.

The five upcoming modules are:

Module 1
1.1 Supervisor Roles and Responsibilities
1.2 Be Informed: Employment Laws & Policies, what every supervisor needs to know

Module 2
2.1 Managing Relationships with Former Peers
2.2 Building a Team

Module 3
3.1 Intercultural Awareness

Module 4
4.1 Optimizing Performance
4.2 Accountability Counts; before you go down the Progressive Discipline road

Module 5
5.1 The Manager’s Communication Toolbox

The modules can be taken in any order to accommodate a supervisor’s schedule. The next round of course offerings will begin in 2018, and information will be shared once the schedule is finalized.
