Relocation of Fisher Scientific laboratory storeroom from Heine to Lilly

Fisher Scientific will relocate the laboratory storeroom from Robert E. Heine Pharmacy Building to Lilly Hall of Life Sciences effective close of business Sept. 15.

The decision to close the on-site storeroom was made after consultation with Fisher and Purdue Service Enterprises and takes into consideration critical space needs for the College of Pharmacy. The consolidation also supports the University-wide strategic space management efforts.

The change may require some alteration in supply procurement, but the availability of items elsewhere on campus is expected to still meet the needs of campus researchers. Service Enterprises and Procurement will be providing support in the dock receiving area for receiving and distribution of packages shipped to the Heine building.

Below is a detailed timeline of events:

Through Friday (Sept. 8)
-- No changes will occur and business will proceed as usual.

Sept. 11-15
--
Ariba orders will be placed through the Lilly Store catalog.
-- The Pharmacy location will serve walk-up customers.
-- Store will close end of business Sept. 15.

After Sept. 15
-- Customer service and products will be available at other storeroom locations: Lilly Hall of Life Sciences, Biochemistry Building and Wetherill Laboratory of Chemistry.
-- Products ordered through the Ariba Fisher Scientific catalog will be available for direct shipment to campus.
