CSSAC welcomes new members

Allen Bol became chair and 11 new members began their terms on the Clerical and Service Staff Advisory Committee for 2017-18 on Aug. 8 during the group's meeting.

Tiffany Eakin completed her term as CSSAC chair and the gavel was passed to Bol during a luncheon ceremony before the meeting. Mandy Smith is now vice chair.

Outgoing members Eakin, John Frigo, Joan Goetz, Brenda Gunion and Juliane Pierson were recognized during the luncheon. Eakin, Frigo and Pierson will serve on the committee for one year in emeritus status.

The new members are:

* Brenda Breece, Purdue Dining and Catering, District IV.

* Renè Celeste, Executive Vice President for Research and Partnerships, District II.

* Jessica Christian, Physics and Astronomy, District I.

* Peggie Haq, Shreve Residence Hall, At Large.

* Dennis Johnson, Operations and Maintenance, District III.

* Song Kang, Purdue Police Department, District III.

* Alfred Nesvold, Building Services, District III.

* Jennifer Scruggs, College of Agriculture, District I.

* Rebekah Siegle, Medicinal Chemistry/Molecular Pharmacology, District I.

* Mary Sigman, Statistics, District I.

* Jeremy Wampler, Veterinary Medical Teaching, District 1.

The committee also awarded the CSSAC Excellence Award for Clerical Staff to Cassandra McCormick and the CSSAC Excellence Award for Service Staff to Victoria Deardurff during the luncheon.
