Cooking demonstrations available for faculty, staff, students at Co-Rec

The Demonstration Kitchen at the Córdova Recreational Sports Center will be offering sessions this fall to highlight delicious recipes and menus that are quick, easy and affordable.

Demonstrations will be held 7-8 p.m. in the Demonstration Kitchen. Free parking is available after 5 p.m. in the Co-Rec parking lot.

The fall 2017 cooking demonstration schedule:

* Monday (Sept. 11) -- Protein Shakes & Snacks

* Sept. 19 -- Breakfast of Champions

* Sept. 28 -- Wok Your World

* Oct. 3 -- One Pot Meals

* Oct. 19 -- Romantic Recipes for Two

* Oct. 23 -- Midwestern Classics

* Nov. 1 -- Restaurant Meals Made at Home

* Nov. 6 -- Decadent Desserts

* Nov. 14 -- Comfort Foods Redesigned

The demonstrations are open to Purdue faculty, staff and students. Sign up for cooking demonstrations at Member Services in the Co-Rec or online. Cost is $10. Each demonstration will provide the opportunity to participate in an interactive cooking experience, sample four to five delicious recipes, and take home recipe cards.

Additional programs offered by the Demonstration Kitchen

Private cooking demonstration: Private cooking demonstrations are ideal for staff or club retreats, residence hall programs, and sorority and fraternity programs. Cooking instructors will provide a fun and informative program for any group, and a variety of menus are available to choose from. The Demonstration Kitchen staff take care of the grocery shopping, preparation and cleanup. 

Kitchen rental: Those looking for a fun and creative way to host a meeting, celebrate with a group or hold a team-building exercise can rent the Demonstration Kitchen. Cooking is a great way to gather friends and colleagues, and the Demonstration Kitchen is available to reserve for students, faculty and staff.
