Surplus Store having sale this week at ABE shop
All sorts of tools, devices and supplies will be on sale this week during the Purdue University Surplus Store's on-site sale in a shop area on the Agricultural and Biological Engineering building's south side.
Items for sale will include miscellaneous voltage meters, power supplies, oscilloscope carts, push mowers, parts washer, PVC pipe, copper fittings, metal cut-offs, electrical parts, glassware, hand tools, dust collector, clamps, cables, shelving, chairs, wire, poly tubing and heating cable.
The "garage sale" will be in a space along Clinic Drive, just south of ABE and just north of Lyles-Porter Hall and the Harrison Street Parking Garage. The address for ABE is 225 S. University St. Parking restrictions will be relaxed immediately around the building. In addition, there will be approximately nine spaces reserved for customers of the sale.
The store accepts Visa, MasterCard, Discover, cash and checks.
The sale is divided into two parts as follows:
* Tuesday (June 27) from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. is for Purdue departments only.
* Wednesday and Thursday (June 28-29) from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. is for the public.
State Street Redevelopment Project construction is in progress on the Purdue University West Lafayette campus. This work has closed a large portion of State Street and significantly affected surrounding thoroughfares in West Lafayette.
In addition, beginning today (June 26), Harrison Street will be restricted to one lane each direction between South Russell Street and South University Street. Caution is recommended in the area. A left turn lane will be constructed in the median of Harrison Street; upon completion, it will allow eastbound traffic access to the Harrison Street Parking Garage.
