Purdue Musical Organizations to present end of season concerts

More than 250 Purdue Musical Organizations students are preparing for their end of season shows.

"Besides the Purdue Christmas Show, each ensemble's end of season show is one of the most memorable for our student performers," says Bill Griffel, director of Purdue Musical Organizations. "Each of these shows will be the final PMO performance for the seniors and features some of their favorite repertoire from their experiences with our program.''

On Sunday (April 2), the Purdue Bells, University Choir, Heart & Soul and All-Campus & Community Chorale will perform the annual Spring Show concert at 2 p.m. at the Long Center for the Performing Arts, 111 N. Sixth St., Lafayette. Tickets are $5 per person and can be purchased by calling PMO at 765-494-3941; Long Center will have a "will call" table. Or tickets can be purchased at the door.

The Purduettes will present their Spring Spectacular concert at 7:30 p.m. April 22, also at the Long Center. Tickets, for sale in advance only, are $20 for adults, $10 for students. Tickets can be purchased through Purdue Account Manager.

The Purdue Varsity Glee Club will perform its End of Season concert at 7:30 p.m. May 13 at the Long. Tickets are $20 for adults, $10 for students and can be purchased through Purdue Account Manager.

For questions, see www.purdue.edu/pmo or call 765-494-3941.

All performances are open to the public. Each ensemble is one of a variety of performance opportunities within Purdue Musical Organizations. Purdue has no school of music, so nearly every academic major is represented in the organization.
