Search committee formed to find new dean of the College of Pharmacy

Deba Dutta, provost and executive vice president for academic affairs and diversity, has announced the start of a national search for the next dean of Purdue's College of Pharmacy.

"The college has an excellent reputation nationwide and we anticipate attracting many outstanding and well-qualified candidates," Dutta said. He encourages input and assistance from all faculty and staff to create a diverse pool from which candidates will be selected for campus visits.

Willie Reed, dean of the College of Veterinary Medicine, will chair the search advisory committee listed below. Reed will provide details on the process and communication protocols for faculty and staff.

Craig Svensson, current dean of the College of Pharmacy, announced in July his intention to step down effective July 1, 2017, in order to transition to full-time faculty duties in the Department of Medicinal Chemistry and Molecular Pharmacology.
