The Regenstrief Center for Healthcare Engineering in Discovery Park is holding a national strategic forum, "Reengineering Healthcare Delivery," from noon to 5:30 p.m. Wednesday (Sept. 21) in Burton D. Morgan Center for Entrepreneurship, Room 121.

Faculty, staff and graduate students are invited to the forum, which will feature nine external panelists with expertise in health care.

Deborah Freund, senior principal researcher and Paul O'Neill-Alcoa Chair in Policy Analysis at Rand Corp., will deliver the keynote address, "Health is More Than Health Care: Challenges and Opportunities." Freund's research has focused on issues related to managed care for Medicaid patients, outcome measurement in orthopedic treatment and pharmacoeconomics, a field that she helped pioneer. Freund has served as president of Claremont Graduate University, provost at Syracuse University, and vice chancellor for academic affairs at Indiana University.

The full forum agenda is here. Registration is required and can be completed online here. Registration will close at 9 a.m. Tuesday (Sept. 20) unless spots fill before the deadline.
