Purduettes to perform annual picnic event on Slayter Hill

The Purduettes will kick off its performance season with the annual "Picnic with the Purduettes" concert at 6 p.m. on Sunday (Sept. 11) on Slayter Hill.

Sponsored by Purdue Musical Organizations, Picnic with the Purduettes is a free performance and open to the public. Guests are invited to bring a picnic basket and blanket to enjoy the outdoor performance.

The Purduettes all-women’s ensemble performs a variety of musical styles, including pop, classical, contemporary, country, swing, patriotic, Broadway, gospel and jazz. The group is directed by Jeff Vallier, who is assisted by Sarah May.
