Council for Manager Development members graduate from Krannert’s Applied Management Principles program
The Krannert School of Management and the University's Council for Manager Development program are continuing their partnership to develop the managerial skills of CMD's administrative and professional employees as they work to manage their individual units.
CMD is a two-year professional development program for managers on the West Lafayette campus. The program helps them enhance their leadership skills, increase their knowledge of the University and its functions, network with campus leaders, and elevate their teaming skills as they work toward a common objective of completing a campus project.
CMD members attend Krannert's Applied Management Principles program to acquire relevant executive management knowledge that can be transferred back to their workplace and aligns with members' current CMD curriculum objectives.
AMP is a 10-day mini-MBA program that provides attendees with courses in accounting, strategy, negotiations, marketing and law and ethics as well as other course offerings, taught by Krannert faculty and visiting lecturers. Some participants use this program as a stepping stone to participating in the Weekend MBA or in Executive MBA programs offered by Krannert.
"My participation in CMD and AMP opened my eyes to possibilities and gave me the courage to enroll in and graduate from the Krannert’s Weekend MBA program," says Betsy Hillery, a graduate of the AMP program and a 2016 graduate of Krannert’s Weekend MBA program. "Using the marketing knowledge I acquired has been game changing for me and the area in which I work."
