Earth Day activities scheduled for today

Several events are planned for the Purdue West Lafayette campus today (April 22) to celebrate Earth Day.

A Tree Campus USA celebration will be held with a brief presentation during which Purdue will receive its seventh consecutive Tree Campus USA award. Volunteers will then receive instruction on how to plant a tree.

This event will take place from 10 a.m. to noon between the Krannert Building and Young Hall. Pre-registration is required online at https://purdue.qualtrics.com/SE/?SID=SV_3PhjeXMmVMy7Fvn, and all registered volunteers in attendance will receive a free lunch.

A reception celebrating the LEED Gold certification recently awarded to the Krach Leadership Center and Third Street Suites will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. at Krach. A "make and take" sustainability craft will be available while supplies last.
