BTN LiveBIG: At Purdue, a big goal leads to a 'tiny' home

A tiny home designed and built by a Purdue sustainable construction class has been featured in the LiveBig in-game series on the Big Ten Network. At under 1,000 square feet, it answers the question "How do you want to change the world?" posed by their teacher, Kirk Alter, associate professor of building construction management. The students learned how to search out sustainable materials and stayed within their $10,000 budget including the trailer platform that makes the home portable. The home is to be available for a person or family in transition in the West Lafayette area.
