Benefit dinner in John Purdue Room to support blood cancer patients

A student-managed, chef-prepared benefit dinner will be served April 14 in the John Purdue Room to help support the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society - Indiana Chapter.

The gourmet meal, set for 5:30-7:30 p.m., will be prepared by chef Carl Conway, clinical professional instructor in the School of Hospitality and Tourism Management and the American Culinary Federation Educator of the Year. The meal will include Garden Chopped Salad, Chicken & Sausage Gumbo, Surf & Turf, Strawberry Shortcake and a complimentary glass of Sauvignon Blanc, all for $50 per person. A cash bar with assorted wines and beer also will be available.

The students of HTM 492, who operate the John Purdue Room dinners in Marriott Hall throughout the semester, will manage this special event. Proceeds will benefit Indiana blood cancer patients.

Reservations are required by Friday (April 8). Contact Rhonda at 765-430-1942 or rkhostett@gmail.com
