University policy update

Two system-wide policy updates became effective Jan. 1:

* Academic Tenure and Promotion (I.B.2): This new policy updates and supersedes section II of Executive Memorandum B-48 and section VIII of Executive Memorandum B-50. Supplementing the policy are updated procedures and criteria for tenure and promotion.

* Terms and Conditions of Employment of Graduate Student Staff (VI.F.11): This new policy and its supplementary standard on Graduate Student Staff Benefits (S-3) supersede Executive Memoranda C-15, C-23 and C-31. The policy and standard codify existing provisions for graduate student staff employment and benefits.
