Purdue hosted an all-campus reception on Monday (Feb. 8) in Purdue Memorial Union's South Ballroom as part of its Chinese New Year celebrations honoring the Year of the Monkey. Sponsored by the Confucius Institute at Purdue, the event featured Chinese food, music, calligraphy and a lion dance demonstration. A photo gallery featuring the reception is here.
The Chinese New Year celebration continues today (Feb. 9) with a screening of the flm "A World Without Thieves" from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. in Stanley Coulter Hall, Room 239. The film is in Chinese with English subtitles. Refreshments will be served.
