National Vietnam Veterans Foundation supports Military Family Research Institute

President Mitch Daniels accepted a check Monday (Feb. 22) at Hovde Hall from Tom Burch, president and chairman of the board for the National Vietnam Veterans Foundation. Holding the check is Hallie Powell, NVVF executive director, and next to her is Martina Sternberg, community outreach director for Purdue's Military Family Research Institute Endowment.
The check represents NVVF gifts in recent months for support of Reaching Rural Veterans and the Military Family Research Institute Endowment, including $5,000 this week for the MFRI endowment. The total includes funds for around 1,000 blankets distributed to homeless and nearly homeless veterans throughout Indiana.
