Discovery Park launches new website

A new website outlining the strategic framework, research themes and focus areas at Discovery Park has been launched under the leadership of Tomás Diáz de la Rubia, chief scientist and executive director of Discovery Park. 

Discovery Park is where Purdue's disciplines converge to accelerate interdisciplinary research on global challenges and then translate those discoveries into real-world solutions. The new website, www.purdue.edu/dp, has been launched, showcasing the strategic themes of Discovery Park.

"At Discovery Park, we answer the call to global challenges by focusing on disruptive innovation at the intersection of traditional STEM disciplines, novel digital and information science approaches, the social sciences and entrepreneurship," says Diáz de la Rubia. "As a world-class institution that is keenly focused on societal impact, Purdue University is uniquely suited to tackle global challenges and deliver impactful solutions."

The strategic themes include impacting global health, focusing on the science of disease and digital health, and solving global challenges at the nexus of energy, food, water and the environment, which includes focus areas on food and nutrition security, the science of climate and resilience, and energy and resources innovation.
