CIE accepting Service-Learning Faculty Grant Program applications

The Center for Instructional Excellence is inviting applications for the Service-Learning Faculty Grant Program, which is designed to expand and institutionalize service-learning into the academic fabric of Purdue.

Faculty who are experienced in service-learning are encouraged to apply for the Service-Learning Senior Mentor Program. Up to 10 faculty members with a desire to mentor other faculty members in and play a leadership role in expanding and institutionalizing service-learning will receive awards of $3,000. The application is available here.

Faculty who are newcomers to service-learning are encouraged to apply for the Service-Learning Junior Fellow Program. Up to 25 faculty members will receive grants in the amount of $2,000. The application is available here.

Completed proposals for both programs are due Feb. 12. From these applications, each college will nominate up to two senior mentors and up to three junior fellows for consideration. Announcements of award recipients will be made in March, and the program will officially begin in April and end in April 2017.
