APSAC, CSSAC encouraging Purdue community to share holiday time with colleagues away from home

December 17, 2015

As University holidays and winter recess approach, the Clerical and Service Staff Advisory Committee and the Administrative and Professional Staff Advisory Committee are encouraging the Purdue community to reach out to those who may not be able to travel to visit with family, friends and loved ones during this time.

In a letter to faculty and staff, APSAC and CSSAC are asking faculty and staff to invite a colleague, a graduate student or anyone else who may otherwise be away from home to join them for a family dinner; an evening out; a trip to the bowling alley, skating rink, movie theater or mall; or other activity.

"We are proud that the Purdue community is one of welcome and caring and we appreciate any and every effort to make our colleagues feel more at home any time during the year, but particularly during this holiday season," the letter says.
