Dan DeLaurentis, executive vice president for research, has announced two faculty input forums to be held in early May as the Office of Research works to ensure the Purdue research ecosystem continues to thrive.

The research growth plan outlines a phased process to help Purdue and its vital research enterprise adapt, innovate and thrive in an evolving national research funding model.

Phase 1: Expand, Explore and Learn will include faculty forums scheduled for May 1 and May 7 — informal opportunities for faculty to provide feedback and brainstorm a road map for success and to inform Purdue’s next steps to implement, scale and thrive in research excellence.

DeLaurentis has outlined adaptability, innovation and efficiency as key components of research growth, intending to enhance the impact and productivity of Purdue researchers and show the value that the Purdue research enterprise presents to the citizens of Indiana and the nation.

Forums will be in person, and both will follow an identical format.

  • May 1 (Friday): 1:30-3:30 p.m. in the Burton D. Morgan Center for Entrepreneurship, Room 121
  • May 7 (Thursday): 9-11 a.m. in Stewart Center, Room 306

Registration for both forums is available online.
