CHL wellness program focuses on stress management, burnout; register by Oct. 21

The Center for Healthy Living (CHL) is presenting a five-week wellness program to address burnout, a growing concern in today’s demanding academic and professional environments.

The “Stress Management and Burnout Prevention” program meets every Tuesday from noon to 1 p.m. ET from Nov. 4 through Dec. 2. Led by CHL providers Lydia Hatfield, registered dietitian, and Cheryl Laszynski, RN health coach, the program aims to tackle this issue at its root by offering a structured approach to help individuals regain balance and vitality in their lives.

“Burnout is the result of prolonged emotional, physical and mental stress that leaves individuals feeling overwhelmed and exhausted,” Laszynski said. “It can impact various aspects of life, including work, home and social interactions.”

Those interested in attending should register by Oct. 21 via the Healthy Boiler Portal. The registration link can be found under the “Healthy Boiler Workshops” section on the portal’s homepage. Hover over the “Stress Management and Burnout Prevention” square and click on the information “i” to register.

Healthy Boiler workshops are free to all benefits-eligible faculty and staff and dependents covered on a Purdue health plan.
