Center for Healthy Living to offer drive-thru, walk-in, on-campus flu shots this fall

Seasonal flu shots, which support the physical health pillar of the Healthy Boiler Wellness Program, are provided annually at no charge to all benefits-eligible Purdue faculty and staff, as well as spouses and dependents covered on a Purdue health plan, through a variety of means.

Purdue employees are encouraged to bring their Purdue University ID, regardless of location. Anyone under the age of 18 should be accompanied by an adult.

West Lafayette

No appointment is required to obtain a flu vaccine at the West Lafayette Center for Healthy Living-hosted flu shot locations and events.

The CHL in West Lafayette will begin administering flu shots Sept. 24 with convenient, drive-thru flu vaccines on the south side of the CHL building, with both morning and evening time slots available.

Flu vaccines also will be available at the center on a walk-in basis beginning Oct. 1 to benefits-eligible employees and dependents covered on a Purdue health plan. Patients can simply stop by to receive their flu shots; appointments are not required.

Pediatric patients 6 months and older can also receive their flu shots at the CHL beginning Oct. 1.

The CHL also has on-campus flu shot events planned beginning Oct. 14 at a variety of locations. See the 2025 Flu Shot Information website for details.

Purdue Northwest campuses — Hammond and Westville

The CHL at Purdue University Northwest will offer flu shots via drive-thru from 7:30-11:30 a.m. CT on Oct. 15 at the Hammond campus CHL location and Oct. 16 on the Westville campus at Circle Drive in front of Schwarz Hall.

Employees also can call the CHL to schedule an appointment at the Hammond campus CHL location.

Purdue Fort Wayne campus

Purdue University Fort Wayne CHL flu shots will take place from 7-11 a.m. ET on Sept. 30 at Walb Union, Room 222. Employees who cannot make the event can call the CHL to schedule an appointment at the center.

Additional flu shot options

Employees can also schedule their flu vaccines with their health care providers or at a local pharmacy, including the Purdue University Pharmacy in the Heine Pharmacy Building in West Lafayette.

Reminder: Earn Healthy Boiler incentive dollars

As a reminder, flu shots are included in the 2025 Healthy Boiler incentive as one of the optional well-being screenings in step 2 for those 18 years and older. Therefore, those who get a flu shot in 2025 and log completion in the Healthy Boiler portal are eligible for additional incentive dollars.
