Three-part Healthy Boiler workshop focuses on basics of nutrition; register by Feb. 28

An upcoming Healthy Boiler workshop series titled “Nutrition Basics” takes place Tuesdays, from 3 to 4 p.m. ET, March 4-18 as part of National Nutrition Month, which is recognized annually in March.

Megan Shidler and Jessica McKeever, registered dietitians at the Center for Healthy Living (CHL), will present the three-part workshop series. The sessions will take a deep dive into answering:

  • Where do calories come from?
  • What can a nutrition label tell me?
  • Is there a diet right for me?

“The world of nutrition is complex and continually evolving,” Shidler explained. “‘Nutrition Basics’ is designed to help individuals build a foundation of nutrition knowledge and boost their confidence in applying that knowledge to their everyday life.”

Those interested in attending “Nutrition Basics” should register by Feb. 28 via the Healthy Boiler Portal. Registration link can be found under the “Healthy Boiler Workshops” section on the portal’s homepage. Hover over the “Nutrition Basics” workshop square and click on the information “i” to register.

Healthy Boiler workshops are free to all benefits-eligible faculty and staff and their dependents.
