Indiana Commission for Higher Education tours Birck Nanotechnology Center, connects with semiconductor undergrads

Purdue University recently welcomed members and staff from the Indiana Commission for Higher Education for a visit to campus, highlighting the university’s commitment to advancing education, innovation and student success. The visit featured a tour of the Birck Nanotechnology Center, a hub for cutting-edge research and technological advancement, where visitors learned about Purdue’s leadership in nanotechnology and quantum research and its transformative impact on science and industry.

The visit also included a roundtable discussion with undergraduate students, who shared their personal experiences participating in Purdue’s Semiconductors@Birck Vertically Integrated Projects (VIP) course, which provides students with unique experiential learning opportunities. From internships and hands-on research to potential career options, these students highlighted how Purdue’s approach to semiconductor training and education equips them with the skills and perspectives needed to excel in their chosen fields.
