Purdue Surplus

Purdue Surplus does a great job and is always willing to accommodate your needs. When the employees arrive to pick up items, they are always efficient, friendly and helpful, and no matter the size or weight of the items, they always do it with a smile! These employees work hard and deserve much appreciation. Thank you! — Marcia Dillman (Finance and Business Operations)

Lisa Geisler and Jeff Storms

Lisa (Accounting Services) and Jeff (Materials Management administration) were so responsive when a move left us with excess office furniture. They processed our surplus request and delivery quickly, which was critical in getting everything resolved. Their responsiveness made it possible for us to make a seamless move. Thank you, Lisa and Jeff! — Lori Miller (Office of the Vice Provost for Graduate Students and Postdoctoral Scholars)

Joe Lane, Jerry Munn, Brian Ullrich, Ian Anderson and Brian Bumm

I would like to thank Joe, Jerry, Brian and Ian (all Operations and Maintenance) for their help with a sensitive situation. I appreciate knowing you have my back! And thank you, Brian B. (Operations and Maintenance), for doubling back to check on us. You are a great group of men, and I appreciate all that you do. — Terri Griffin (Operations and Maintenance)

Deana Galema

Deana (Animal Care and Use) provided incredible service to facilitate routing an animal care and use protocol to the review team during a time-sensitive window, as the university transitions away from the Coeus system. I encountered several new glitches when I attempted to upload documents to Coeus. Deana was very patient and very helpful in clearing up these hurdles. I appreciate her attention to detail and for ensuring my protocol application and subsequent revisions made it to the review team in a timely manner. — Ryan Cabot (Animal Sciences)

Neil Greg Morris

I really appreciate Greg’s (Operations and Maintenance) willing attitude to repair our elevators in Hampton Hall of Civil Engineering. He always has a positive attitude, and nothing seems to ever bother him. Thank you, Greg, for all you do for the elevator shop! Thumbs up! — Alan Holtman (Civil and Construction Engineering)

Andrew Dzierla

I would like to recognize and thank Andrew Dzierla (Purdue Fort Wayne IT) for the time and effort he spent building and tweaking a new computer hardware self-service form in TeamDynamix. Andrew was patient and received every change request in stride, no matter how big or small. Without him the vision of the form would not have been realized. Kudos to Andrew, and thank you! — Jessica Harvey (IT End User Experience)

Jennifer Spitznagle

Jennifer (Finance) is an amazing business office resource every day and is always willing to help us to get things done right. She’s been the rock keeping us steady. I know that if I call or stop in the office, she’ll help me sort out whatever’s going on and that anyone I send to her will be treated with respect, kindness and professionalism. — Ethan Chitty (Illinois-Indiana Sea Grant)

Karen Kim, Jovane Fernandez, Tyler Satterfield and Angelyn Fernandez

Karen (Hospitality and Tourism Management Food Service), Jovane, Tyler (both Building Services) and Angelyn (Athletics Facilities) went above and beyond the call of duty on a very hot and busy day in Ross-Ade Stadium. They worked tirelessly to ensure that our guests were able to enjoy the game in a safe and pleasant environment. They even assisted with duties that were well beyond their scope of work, and we deeply appreciate it. We could not do what we do without your expertise and assistance. Boiler Up! — Kyle Banter (Athletics Facilities)

Amanda Shields

I want to give a big shoutout to Amanda (Purdue Conferences). She helped us plan the Center for Secure Microelectronics Ecosystem annual meeting, which is a two-and-a-half-day event. Amanda is always so helpful and friendly to everyone and always seems to handle anything that someone throws at her at the last minute. Thank you, Amanda! We could not have done this without you! — Jenny Mattson (Birck Nanotechnology Center)
