Save the Dates: HR — Benefits/Wellness announces several important events to add to calendars

Human Resources — Benefits/Wellness has announced its event lineup for September through November, including open enrollment for 2025 benefits. All benefits-eligible employees are encouraged to take part.

Center for Healthy Living open house

The CHL open house is an opportunity to learn more about the services offered and tour the clinic. The CHL provides preventive care, sick care, sports physicals, health coaching, dietitian services, telehealth options, wellness programs, Healthy Boiler workshops, medication therapy management and more to all benefits-eligible employees and dependents covered on a Purdue health plan.

Fall 2024 Road to Retirement conference — Sept. 25-27
All benefits-eligible employees are invited to take part in the semiannual, three-day virtual conference packed with information designed to help individuals plan for retirement, regardless of where they are on their retirement path. Employees can choose which sessions to attend based on their interests and needs. The fall conference schedule is available on the Road to Retirement webpage. Additionally, the webpage offers recorded and on-demand presentations from the spring 2024 conference as well as independent study sessions, which include sessions specific to Spanish-speaking individuals.

Free flu shots — Various dates September through October
Flu shots are available annually at no cost to employees and dependents covered on a Purdue health plan. Drive-thru flu shots will be available at the CHL locations as well as on-site flu shot events on the West Lafayette campus. See the 2024 Flu Shot Information webpage for details and a complete schedule for West Lafayette, Purdue Northwest and Purdue Fort Wayne campuses.

Healthy Boiler Fair — Oct. 2 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. ET;
The second annual Healthy Boiler Fair, which takes place in the Purdue Memorial Union Ballrooms (North and South) on the West Lafayette campus, is a great opportunity for benefits-eligible faculty and staff to learn more about their benefits as an employee. Just as Purdue’s benefits do, all vendors and programs at the fair will align with one or more of the five pillars of the Healthy Boiler Wellness Program

2025 open enrollment — Oct. 29 through Nov. 12 at 6 p.m. ET
Open enrollment, which occurs annually in the fall, offers benefits-eligible faculty and staff an opportunity to review Purdue’s extensive benefits offerings and select the ones that best suit them and their families, if applicable. The Benefits Enrollment website will offer 2025 benefits updates throughout the enrollment time frame. (Note: A new design and feel to the benefits website focusing on the five pillars of the Healthy Boiler Wellness Program is now available.) All benefits selections must be completed and submitted prior to 6 p.m. ET Nov. 12 to allow the system enough time to process the enrollment.

More information on each of these events will continue to be shared via Healthy Boiler newsletters, emails and Purdue Today articles.
