Authorship standard

A new standard on Authorship of Scholarly Works (S-24) is effective today (Jan. 3). The standard makes clear the expectations for accurate attribution of authorship for research and scholarship, including author identification and order. It lists unacceptable practices and provides a process for resolving disputes.

Additional communication about the standard will be forthcoming from the Office of the Provost. Visit the new and revised policies page on the University Policy Office website for a link to the full text of the systemwide standard. Note: Policies and standards do not apply to Purdue Global, as it maintains its own policies and standards.
