Purdue Summer Undergraduate Research Symposium accepting research talk, poster abstract submissions for hybrid event
Undergraduate students have until July 11 to submit their abstracts to present a research talk (oral presentation) or poster on their research or creative endeavors during the 2022 Purdue Summer Undergraduate Research Symposium.
The symposium will be a hybrid event showcasing undergraduate research with students delivering presentations July 28-Aug. 4. Undergraduate researchers and scholars from all disciplines are encouraged to participate. Any Purdue student and any non-Purdue student working with a Purdue research mentor can participate in the symposium.
On July 28, the in-person poster symposium will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Purdue Memorial Union South Ballroom, and the research talks will be from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.in various rooms in Hicks Undergraduate Library. Abstracts and presenter times will be announced closer to the event.
The virtual symposium will host recorded poster and research talk presentations July 28-Aug. 4 on the symposium website. This option will allow Purdue students who are not conducting work on campus or who have already left campus for the summer to present their work.
The process of disseminating research results, gaining valuable feedback from peers and professors, and networking with other participants is a vital step in the learning process from engaging in a research experience.
The Purdue Summer Undergraduate Research Symposium is organized by the Office of Undergraduate Research (OUR). In addition to the Summer Undergraduate Research Symposium, OUR is hosting the Summer Undergraduate Research Seminar Series via Zoom with topics such as presenting research and marketing research experiences. The next session will focus on NSF graduate fellowships July 12. Students should register to receive the Zoom link for each seminar they would like to attend.
