Event to raise awareness about domestic and sexual violence
Several Purdue organizations are collaborating to host Take Back the Night on Friday (April 15) to raise awareness about power-based personal violence and empowering survivors. The event also seeks to end sexual, relationship and domestic violence in all forms.
The event will be held at 6-8 p.m. on the lawn at Krach Leadership Center. Take Back the Night will feature keynote speaker Mwende "FreeQuency" Katwiwa, sharing of survivor’s stories and a march through campus.
The event is being hosted by the Center for Advocacy, Response, and Education (CARE), the Purdue Panhellenic Council, the LGBTQ+ Student Alliance and University Residences.
