'Student of Concern' resources offered by Office of the Dean of Students

As the days get shorter and the weather changes, many students find themselves struggling. The Office of the Dean of Students wants to remind the campus community of the Student of Concern Report to share concerns they may have regarding a student.

Faculty and staff can learn more about resources and concerns worth reporting by downloading the Student of Concern Guide. Hard copies of the guide can be requested by emailing odos@purdue.edu.

The Office of the Dean of Students is also offering two open sessions of its Student of Concern + Behavior Intervention Team Presentation before the end of the Fall 2021 semester. This hourlong presentation is crafted to educate members of the Purdue community on indications a student may need additional support; guidance on how to report concerns; and information about what takes place after a report is submitted. Additionally, participants will learn about the Behavior Intervention Team.

These sessions will be offered through Zoom. Faculty and staff can go online to register for a presentation or request a session for an academic department or office.

Questions can be directed to Steven Yeagley, associate dean of students – crisis management, at yeagley@purdue.edu.
