Journal of Purdue Undergraduate Research seeking submissions for 2021 edition

The Journal of Purdue Undergraduate Research (JPUR) publishes research conducted by Purdue undergraduates from all majors who have completed faculty-mentored research projects. JPUR is currently seeking research proposals from Purdue undergraduates at the West Lafayette, Fort Wayne and Northwest campuses for publication in the 2021 edition.

The proposal consists of four short prompts asking for the:

  • Research project description.
  • Significance of the project.
  • Methods.
  • Student’s individual involvement.

Every proposal is reviewed by a student and faculty editorial board, and if accepted, students will have the opportunity to publish a full-length article (about 3,000 words, six to eight pictures) or a research snapshot (about 250 words, one picture). The 11th edition of the journal will be published both online at www.jpur.org and in print in August 2021. The final deadline for students to submit a proposal to www.jpur.org is Feb. 15.

The journal is run by students with support from the Purdue University Press and other departments of Purdue University Libraries and School of Information Studies. Publication of JPUR is sponsored by the Office of the Provost. For more information or questions, students or faculty can contact journal coordinator Ethan Edwards at jpur@purdue.edu.
