University standard for office chair casters changes

The University’s standard for office chair casters was recently changed from Shepherd brand to the manufacturer’s recommendation.

Although the majority of campus should follow the manufacturer’s recommendation, a select group of buildings on the West Lafayette campus has one or more rooms that are exceptions to this. The list of rooms, which still require Shepherd casters on chairs, is included on the Procurement Services website and should be reviewed before office chair purchases are made.

Vendors have been notified of the new standard and exceptions.
