Registration open for Purdue co-sponsored statewide innovation conference
On Oct. 12-13, Purdue will co-sponsor the inaugural "Innovation Crossover: The Shape of Things to Come" regional and statewide innovation ecosystem conference at the Bloomington Convention Center. The Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Crane Division will host the conference, and Purdue will co-host the event alongside Indiana University, University of Southern Indiana, the Indiana Office of Defense Development, Radius, Cook Medical, and Conexus.
The conference aims to forge collaborative relationships, such as public-private partnerships, as well as establish the foundations and infrastructure necessary for technology cluster areas to innovate in Department of Defense technologies, advanced manufacturing, life sciences/biomedical, and information technology/cyber fields.
Workshops are also available to attendees and will cover topics such as DoD business, technology transfer, Small Business Innovation Research Program, design thinking, simplex methodology, open innovation, and others.
A networking social is planned for the evening of Oct. 12 at the Bloomington Convention Center and will be sponsored by Purdue's Discovery Park and the Burton D. Morgan Center for Entrepreneurship, along with partnering universities.
Registration is now open for interested participants from the sectors of government, industry and academia. Space is limited, and individuals interested in registering should do so soon. There is no charge to register, and those interested in attending can register for the event directly with NSWC: www.eventbrite.com/e/innovation-crossover-the-shape-of-things-to-come-tickets-18398240633.
