Purdue Global Law School’s Distinguished Speaker Series to discuss ‘nuclear’ verdicts
WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. — Purdue Global Law School will host “Nuclear Verdicts: When Jurors Go Wild” on April 21 for the next installment of its Distinguished Speaker Series.
The live webinar, which is scheduled for 3 p.m. ET, noon PT, will be hosted by Martin Pritikin, dean and vice president of Purdue Global Law School, and will feature Ellen Leggett, founder and president at Leggett Jury Research LLC.
Leggett is considered one of the nation’s leading jury trial consultants, with more than 35 years of experience in the field. During her conversation with Pritikin, she will share insights into what captures jurors’ attention, what most often provokes their frustration and the key factors that drive juries to deliver multimillion- and even billion-dollar verdicts against defendants.
“Large jury verdicts have the potential to put companies out of business or bankrupt individuals,” Pritikin said. “Dr. Leggett is a pioneer in the field of jury consulting who has spent decades decoding the emotional triggers behind record-breaking awards.”
Licensed attorneys can receive 1 California General Minimum Continuing Legal Education (MCLE) credit for attending this webinar.
Registration for this event is free and required. To register, click here. After the live event, the webinar will be available for viewing on the law school’s YouTube page.
