WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. — Purdue Global’s Board of Trustees announced the appointment of Eva Nodine as Purdue Global’s CEO, effective Friday (Feb. 6).
As CEO, Nodine will be responsible for leading the overall Purdue Global entity, with a focus on strategic direction.
Nodine has served as Purdue Global’s chief financial officer and chief operating officer since May 2024, overseeing all financial planning and accounting services, human resources, financial aid, marketing and communications, data, information technology, and legal and regulatory affairs.
Previously, Nodine served Purdue University since 2012 in numerous roles, including as vice president, deputy CFO and assistant treasurer, senior director of financial planning and analysis, director of general ledger transformation, and director of benefits, utilizing her financial expertise to help drive the university’s successes. She also served as Purdue Global’s treasurer from 2021-24.
“Eva was part of the team that helped with the initial acquisition of Purdue Global,” said Michael Berghoff, Purdue Global Board of Trustees chair. “Working with her on numerous university and board initiatives over the years, including most recently as chief financial and operations officer, her experience and knowledge of university operations have helped Purdue Global grow and benefit our students.”
Nodine is passionate about helping working adults earn their degree, credential or certification so they can get their dream job or pursue a new career.
“Student success is a key cornerstone for Purdue Global, and I’m looking forward to serving as Purdue Global’s CEO and working with leadership and faculty as we provide opportunities for working adult learners,” Nodine said. “I am passionate about providing opportunities for others, especially since I earned my degrees while working — one of them online — while my boys and family encouraged me each step of the way.”
Berghoff thanked Chris Ruhl for his work as interim CEO. Ruhl is Purdue University’s chief financial officer and treasurer and will continue in that capacity.
“Purdue Global has a great leader in Eva. I’ve worked closely with Eva since 2017, and her vision and commitment to Purdue Global’s integral contribution to Purdue’s land-grant mission is unwavering,” Ruhl said. “Eva will bring boundless energy and passion to Purdue Global’s most important mission, student success. Her extensive experience leading large projects, blending strategic planning with a keen eye for effective operations will ensure Purdue Global continues to grow and thrive, positively impacting the lives of countless students and families for years to come.”
Nodine will report to the Purdue Global Board of Trustees.
