In today’s digital world, the majority of individuals are on their smartphones more than not. As technology continues to develop, the availability of mobile apps is keeping pace as well. According to App Annie’s “The State of Mobile 2019,” there were 194 billion worldwide app downloads in 2018.

That statistic is not surprising when you consider there’s an app for almost everything, hence Apple’s slogan, “There’s an app for that.” Some of our Benefits’ vendors happen to be in the app game. In an effort to provide us (their customers) with hands-on, easy access to our vendors’ services, there are apps pertaining to retirement, pharmacy, health and wellness, mental well-being and more. Take a look at the app options below, and add to your app resources as desired.

Anthem Anywhere

Anthem, Purdue’s medical plan administrator, offers Anthem Anywhere, because they are “here to help you make healthy happen – wherever you go.” From the app, you can:

  • Access their member ID card
  • Estimate costs to help plan ahead
  • Find a doctor or urgent care, get directions and view ratings and reviews.
  • Check copays, deductibles and more
  • Keep an eye on claims (not applicable to all plans)
  • Send and receive messages about your plan securely
  • And more

CVS pharmacy

According to CVS, the CVS Pharmacy app makes staying healthy, saving time and spending less all easier. Via the CVS Pharmacy app, you can:

  • Order and track prescription refills
  • Pick up and pay for prescriptions quickly and privately; watch the tutorial
  • Save three times more by linking your ExtraCare card to the app
  • Order photo prints
  • View wait times, hold your place in line and get a text when you’re next for the CVS MinuteClinic

HSA Bank Mobile

HSA Bank, Purdue’s health savings and flexible spending accounts administrator, strives to help you “own your health.” HSA Bank’s mobile app provides you with the tools to take control and better manage your accounts. You can access your account needs in real-time, 24 hours a day, seven days a week, safely and securely. The app allows you the ability to:

  • Check account balances
  • View account activity
  • Make a provider payment from your account
  • Enter and track expenses
  • Scan for IRS-qualified medical expenses
  • Review and verify IRS-qualified medical expenses
  • Access the Client Assistance Center
  • And more

LiveHealth Online Mobile

Via LiveHealth Online, you can visit with board-certified doctors, licensed therapists, lactation consultants, registered dietitians and more through video on your smartphone, tablet or computer. From the app, you can:

  • See a provider for your child
  • And more

myStrength

Take a deep breath with myStrength – your go-to for emotional well-being and peace of mind. myStrength is your free and convenient digital “health club” for the mind. Retirement apps

Fidelity

Fidelity – the university’s retirement plan platform and official provider of retirement education and guidance – is endorsed by Purdue to provide guidance and counseling with retirement plan investments and decisions.

Managing your Fidelity workplace retirement plans has never been easier or more convenient. Via the mobile platform, you can:

  • See retirement account balances
  • Manage investment options
  • Update contribution elections

Voya Retire (PERF Annuity Savings Account, INPRS)

Employees, hired into service/support positions prior to September 9, 2013 with PERF retirement, can view and manage their PERF ASA (Annuity Savings Account) through the Voya Retire app. Through the myOrangeMoney experience within the app, you can see your estimated monthly income goal in retirement. Additionally, via the app you can:

  • See your current ASA balance
  • View your personal rate of return
