Road to Retirement program paves the way to retirement readiness: September 27, 2018

The Road to Retirement program, sponsored by the Purdue Benefits team, is designed to assist employees in preparing for life after retirement. The program is held twice a year for benefits-eligible employees age 50 or older who have three or more years of service. The next event will be held September 27 in Stewart Center; invitations will go out to eligible employees during the week of September 10.

Attendees are welcome to attend any sessions of interest; no registration is necessary. Employees may attend in paid status with their supervisor's permission.

Speakers focus on what employees need to consider as they approach retirement, retirement procedures and timing, how benefits work together upon retirement, medical and life insurance options in retirement and health savings account tips.

Attending the “Road to Retirement” program will count toward wellness activities needed to receive the Healthy Boiler Wellness incentive. The program will satisfy the below category for wellness activities:

* Attend wellness education presentations/workshops. Participation must equal a minimum of four hours, may include multiple presentations, virtual or in-person.
