Carlos López and Jeanine Arana (Meyers’ Lab) and Lais McCartney (Purdue ANR Educator, Hancock County), presented about “Horticulture careers” to fifth graders at Eastern Hancock Elementary School. The 5th graders learned about horticulture crops grown in Indiana and the importance of horticulture. All the students took home a peppermint plant thanks to the Meyers’ lab research.
