Undergraduate student Ian Kelly (HORT) is currently on study abroad in Dublin, Ireland this semester and will be sending up updates throughout his stay. He sent us this update this week:
Classes have been going in full swing and in my plant biotechnology course we got to see a tour of their facilities! They showed us growth chambers, greenhouses, and Ireland’s only plant phenotyping machine – a PlantScreen system. Besides classes, I’ve still being seeing what the East Coast has to offer, going North of Dublin to walk Howth’s cliffs or going a bit south to do the scenic Bray towards Greystones walk. Phoenix Park was also extremely beautiful, it was too bad we didn’t see any of their free roaming deer when we were there.
