HLA Department Celebrates Student Excellence at Annual Awards Ceremony

The Department of Horticulture and Landscape Architecture held their annual celebration on April 22, recognizing outstanding undergraduate students, award winners, and graduating seniors from the 2024-2025 academic year.

The event, which highlighted student achievements across all HLA disciplines, was successfully organized thanks to Brandy Pinkard‘s initial planning efforts and the coordination of faculty members Kathryn Orvis and Sean Rotar and staff members Rebecca Stevenson and Pam Fisher.

Additionally, five students were inducted into Sigma Lambda Alpha, the landscape architecture honor society: Raphael Rose, Anna Hildebrand, Clare O’Brien, Alejandra Hughes, and Teagen Moon.

The ceremony also recognized club officers, scholarship recipients, and May 2025 graduating seniors, celebrating their accomplishments and contributions to the department.
