Ashley Adair and White County ANR Educator Andrew Westfall hosted the Indiana Organic Grain Farmer Meeting on 2/22 at the Beck Center. The event drew 60 participants from across the eastern corn belt in its first in-person meeting since 2020. We look forward to growing this event in 2024!



Monday’s (Feb 13) Exponent had 2 articles that mentioned HLA specialists: “Caring for a dark plant after a white winter” by Laurent Wetterau quotes Karen Mitchell about plant maintenance. “Master Gardener program sprouts new ideas” by Allie Matthews quotes John Orick discussing the EMG program.




Liz Maynard is co-PI on a newly funded AgSEED project led by Dan Quinn (AGRY) titled “improving Crop Establishment in Cover Crops Systems through Examination of Modern Planter Technologies.” This project will continue work on no-till planting of sweet corn into killed winter rye cover crop.
