Certificate Program

A post-master's Adult Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner Certificate is available for individuals who hold a master's degree in nursing from an accredited institution. The certificate program allow nurses with a master's degree to enter the program to prepare to work as an adult gerontology primary care nurse practitioner.

The total credit hours required for the certificate program vary depending on the student's academic record, clinical experiences and objectives. The certificate program is a minimum of 16 credit hours. Typically, a student will complete 16 to 34 hours of course credit. The certificate program requires a total of 630 clinical hours, which fulfills the certification requirements.
