AEROSOL RESEARCH LAB Dr. Jae Hong Park, School of Health Sciences

HSCI X90 OEHS Research Experience

One of the best ways to develop a deeper understanding and appreciation for the material covered in science courses is to participate and gain experience working in a research laboratory. This course will serve as a bridge between your academic and professional career and will contribute to both areas of your life. The primary goal of this course is for you, the beginning research student, to experience and participate in the all-inclusive events of a functioning research laboratory in “real-world” experience, much the same as holding a position as a graduate student researcher or a laboratory technician. Thus, you should be prepared to assume the responsibilities of such an assignment. It is assumed you have chosen to participate in this experience because of your interest in Occupational and Environmental Health Sciences (OEHS) research and you want to discover if you would indeed enjoy doing this type of research. Students are expected to be self-motivated and contact Dr. Park as necessary for guidance.
