Secretary Department:

Mechanical Engineering

Advisor:

Ivan Christov

Research Description:

I work on the mathematical modelling of fluid flow in deformable channels at the microscale. My work involves developing fundamental mathematical equations to predict fluid motion due to the effect of moving channel walls. I compare the predicted physical quantities from these equations with experiments or direct numerical simulations.

Why CIGP?

It is often the case in the field of research that work done in one subject has an application in completely another subject. CIGP brings together a group of interdisciplinary researchers and provides a vital platform where researchers from different backgrounds can interact with each other to enhance their knowledge and possibly realize different applications of their work beyond the ones they are looking for.
